Experience
Since her childhood days in Ghana, West Africa, Evelyn Amoah Bryant has had a strong passion for service and dreamt of becoming a family law judge in New Orleans. Bryant attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law spending her summers clerking for Project Save – a non-profit organization litigating sexual assault and domestic violence cases in New Orleans. Additionally, she clerked for former Judge Charles R. Jones at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal. In addition to gaining experience clerking, Bryant worked with Loyola Law’s Mediation Student Clinic program where she handled several custody cases. Bryant proudly graduated from Loyola Law acquiring her Juris Doctorate in Common Law, with a focus on Family Law. Prior to Law School, Bryant acquired her bachelor’s degree in Constitutional Law (Pre-Law) with a double minor in Criminal Law and Kinesiology, Sports Coaching at Texas Lutheran University where she was a celebrated member of the Track & Field team.
After graduation, Bryant began serving with the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office as the Director of Supervised Visitations and Safe Exchange Center responsible for managing visitations between children and their parents as well as safe exchanges of children. Additionally, she served with the Southeast Louisiana Legal Services as a domestic violence and sexual assault attorney litigating protective order, divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support cases. To effect change, Bryant collaborated with several local and state-wide domestic violence partner agencies like City of New Orleans’ Blueprint for Safety initiative, Louisiana Bar Association, Audrey Hepburn Center, and the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.
Her passion for family starts with her own; she is a proud mother to two beautiful kids, Michael III and Victoria. Heavily involved in their lives, Bryant has served with their schools Parent Teacher Organizations for years. Additionally, she has served as the soccer coach for the Carrolton Boosters and Louisiana Fire Soccer Association.

Continue her mentorship work by establishing initiatives for young lawyers in family law, ensuring a new generation of attorneys is well-equipped to handle the complexities of family cases with compassion and competence.

Evelyn will advocate for expanded legal aid services and pro bono work, particularly for low-income residents, to ensure equitable access to justice in family court matters.
